Workshop: the dental item from scan to milling

On Wednesday June 8th, at the new Remak premises in Milan, Via Grosio 10/10,
we will attend to the Workshop: the dental item from scan to milling.

Starting from a model it will be possible to follow the whole process to get the milled
item, in 4 main steps:
• Scan the item with an Open Technology’s scanner
• Model the item with the ExocaD’s CAD
• Tool-path program with Cimsystem’s CAM

From 10:00 it’s possible to attend to the presentation held by REMAK
and the partner companies. It’s also possible to set up an appointment,
one ot two weeks before, to satisfy specific requests.
The workshop’s focus will be mainly on practical applications,
the presentations will be held during the morning.

LITHIUM DISILICATE AND CERAMICS

It is now possible to use SUM3D for the grinding of Lithium Disilicate and Ceramics.

Cimsystem has prepared a special kit including:

metallic structure to hold the blocks,
tools,
dedicated machining strategies,
related training course

The kit has been tested giving excellent results with various customers.

CHANGES IN THE “PORTION” CODE

The management of the code has been modified to allow to perform a further split of the portion, in order to machine the first millimetres with parameters different from the rest of the portion. It has been added the code DEEP (or DEPTH) to set the depth of the machining to be performed (positive value) or to set the depth of the machining to be skipped (negative value).
For instance, will machine only the first 3 millimetres of the portion 1, while > will machine the portion 1 avoiding the first 3 millimetres.

Increment value in Z = 0.5

SINTERING STABILIZER

The new control that has been introduced allows the automatic creation of the sintering stabilizer for large zirconium arches. Just click on the dedicated icon and select the bridge you wish to create the stabilizer for. The system will automatically set the right position and shape of the stabilizer and adds it to the selected bridge. A plane support is added to the base to allow to set the arch vertically into the oven. In case the oven isn’t high enough to contain the arch in vertical position, you can add few vertical connectors on one side of the stabilizer, and eventually on one or more element of the bridge, to machine the arch in a way to allow the horizontal positioning into the oven. It’s possible to create stabilizers for complete arches but also for smaller bridges.
